Raymond Kite

KITE - Raymond Kite, beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather passed away peacefully on Monday, March 1, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Cimarron, NM on October, 20, 1939, to Bruce and Jewell Kite. Raymond spent most of his years living in the Moreno Valley of Northern New Mexico. He worked for many years in the logging and civil construction businesses and was a true craftsman. Raymond is survived by his wife Saundra of their Maxwell home; five children, son Jeff and wife Christine of Albuquerque, son Gray and wife Phyllis of Albuquerque, daughter Kelly Williams and husband Sterling of Loving, daughter Stacey Burke of Rio Rancho, son Doug Welty and wife Melanie of Trabuco, CA; brother Cecil "Tiny" Kite and wife Pam of Eagle Nest. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Raymond was loved and respected by everyone and will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Graveside services will be held at the Elizabethtown Cemetery, just north of Eagle Nest on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with a celebration of life dinner beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Eagle Nest Community Center.
