Raymond Henderson Langston, 76, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Jefferson City Manor.
He was born in Cape Girardeau to James Raymond and Katherine Elizabeth (Hopper) Langston.
Ray graduated in 1965 from College High School in Cape Girardeau.
He served in the United States Navy from 1967-1971 as a jet mechanic at Moffett Field in California.
Ray was married to Debbie Sue Elfrank on May 15, 1971, in Cape Girardeau. She survives at the home.
Ray worked as an engineer assistant for Ameren Electric for thirty years, retiring in 2000.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Ray’s favorite times were with his family. He enjoyed woodworking and building furniture, being on the water, especially fly fishing, and playing cards.
He is survived by Debbie, his wife of fifty-one years; a daughter, Angie (Terry) Rodesky, Middletown, Delaware; two sons, Mike (Jolynda) Langston, Woodstock, Georgia; and Patrick (Jamey) Langston, Raymore, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Rodesky, Ashley Rodesky, Brett Rodesky, Cody Rodesky, Grace Langston, Nathan Langston, Jake Langston, Erin Langston, and Mark Langston; siblings, Carolyn (John) Taylor, Steelville; Pat Shelly, Alpharetta, Georgia; and Sally (Tom) Russo, Jacksonville, Florida; and a brother-in-law, Perry Price, Rolla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Ann Price.
Visitation will be 1-3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Trimble Funeral Homes.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Trimble Funeral Homes with the Rev. Trevor Dancer officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery with military honors.
Memorials are suggested to USO, Tunnel to Towers, or to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
