Raymond Markelwith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Decker-Givnish Funeral Home on Oct. 11, 2025.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Raymond C. Markelwith on October 7, 2025. He left this world peacefully, surrounded by his loving wife, two daughters, and sister-in-law.
Raymond was the devoted husband of Patti Monaco-Markelwith, and a loving father to Tina Marie McGuire (husband Patrick McGuire) and Dawn Marie Pagano (husband Jeffrey Pagano). He was a proud grandfather to Lauren McGuire (husband Gio Million), Vincent, Dominic, and Anthony Pagano, and a cherished great-grandfather to James Million.
Raymond's quiet strength, warm heart, and steady presence will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. A man of deep values and service, he was a member of Masonic Lodge #606 in Southampton, which is now Masonic Lodge #806, and a proud Eagle Scout, living a life guided by integrity, loyalty, and compassion.
In his younger years, Raymond was a member of the choir Ambassador, which would later evolve into the renowned Philadelphia Boys Choir. His appreciation for music and the arts remained with him throughout his life.
He was a family man through and through-known for his constant support, his comforting words (especially his famous phrase, "Everything will be fine"), and his sense of humor. He had a way of slipping in clever jokes that often went over your head-but always left you smiling.
Raymond's Life Celebration will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, at the Decker-Givnish Funeral Home, located at 216 York Road, Warminster, PA 18974. Interment will be private.
