Raymond Nyhof Obituary
Ray was a caring person, a conscientious worker, but most importantly a loving father. He graciously helped others with nothing expected in return. He was strong and dedicated. As a grandfather, he was known as "Papa" and helped create wonderful memories with them. He was loved and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Lynn Dannenberg; siblings, Hermina Nyhof, Bernard and Lil Nyhof, Harvey and Ann Nyhof, Jerry Nyhof, and brother-in-law, John Meengs.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Nyhof; daughter, Pam Nuan; daughter, Laurie Nyhof; daughter, Lisa and Joel Poortvliet; son-in-law, Kyle and Erin Dannenberg; grandchildren. Max Bovadilla, Tyler Nuan, Alex and Melissa Nuan, Bianca VanBrocklin, Haley Poortvliet, Maci Dannenberg, Jake Dannenberg; great-grandson, Noah Chacon; sister, Ida and Bernard Groenhof; brother, Elmer and Leona Nyhof; brother, Robert and Linda Nyhof; sister, Ethel and Michael DePorter; brother, Ken and Shirley Nyhof; sister, Rose Meengs; brother-in-law, Merle and Norma Peterson; sister-in-law, Karen and Larry Naber, and sister-in-law, Joan Nyhof; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family is 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Langeland Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland, MI 49423.
A Celebration of Life will be at Noon on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Overisel Reformed Church, 4706 142nd Ave. Holland, MI 49423 with Rev. Mike Pitsenberger officiating.
Burial to take place in Overisel Cemetery.
