Raymond Douglas Thomas

Raymond Douglas Thomas (78) of Tellico Village went home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda; parents Winfred and Gladys Thomas; as well as siblings Cliff, Betty, Bill, Clarence, Robert, David, Margaret, and Rick.

He is survived by wife Tammie, daughter Courtney, son Chris, Daughter-in-law Jessica, grandson Liam, Sister-in-laws Vickie and Jackie (Husband Jeff) and Brother-in-law Eddie (Wife Virginia). Ray also has numerous nieces and nephews he loved tremendously.

Ray graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1969. He was a CPA and, after 40+ years, retired from Home Federal Bank as the Chief Financial Officer. He served for 6 years in the U.S. Army Reserves where he was honorably discharged. Ray served on various boards for charitable organizations such as FCA, Project Grad and United Way. He was also an avid golfer.

He lived a life full of wit, humor, and joyful laughter. He always put others first in life and touched people with his kind heart and unconditional love. Ray was a devout follower of Jesus Christ and exemplified his love in every area of his life.

The families would like to extend special appreciation to UT Hospice, Sacred Ground Hospice Center, and especially Nurse Christian who helped take care of Ray these last few months.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Rose Funeral & Cremation - Mann, with the funeral following at 7:00 pm. The entombment service will then take place on Thursday at Grandview Cemetery in Maryville at 11:00 am. Online condolences may be made at www.rosefuneraltn.com.
