On behalf of my dear folks, Alan and Marie McCandless, I send my deepest regrets on Ray's passing. My pop was a very close friend and colleague of Ray's and I know he'd want me to wish his family well. I'm also taken aback by Ursula's passing in 2009. She too was a wonderful lady whom I really admired. Ray's love and kindness to her was always obvious ... as was his outreach to others. He will be sorely missed, but leaves behind a rich legacy of kindness to all he met! I'm grateful to have known him. My folks are no doubt enjoying his company once more ... now in heaven ... as they left us in 2007. God bless the Travers family! ❤

I am saddened by the news received of Uncle Ray's passing. The picture posted in his obituary reflects his true essence, a happy man, he worked hard and played hard. I will forever remember his generosity and love. Condolences to the family, knowing he is certainly in heaven smiling still.

He always had a smile on his face that could light up the room!

Ray was my friend from the day we met in 1978 when I became President of Phillips Driscopipe and he became our landlord for our Watsonville pipe plant. He came to Dallas with Ursula and to my Oklahoma home and we visited him many times in Watsonville and Carmel Valleyincluding many of his Birthday celebrations. He always expressed respect for his fellow man and would ask what he could do to help others. I will miss him like a brother but I know he will be resting well with Ursula in Watsonville.

I will miss his friendly smile and his kind words for everyone. A moment of silence for Ray. May he rest in peace.
