Raymond White Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fisher Funeral Home - Denison on Dec. 31, 2025.
Raymond "Pete" White was born in Ravenna, Texas on September 24, 1942, to Roy and Velma White. He graduated from Booker T. Washington in Bonham, Texas in May of 1961. He continued his education at Grayson County College.

Pete served in the US Army from July 1967 to July 1969. While in the Army, he served as a cook and kitchen supervisor. He received numerous medals and commendations for his service.

Pete married Billie Perry June 24, 1967. To this union, son, Rodney and daughter, Rochelle were born. Pete worked for the Katy Railroad for many years and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. After retirement, he took to the road to help with car dealer trades for local car dealerships.

Pete was a member of the Iron Ore Baptist Church where he served as a trustee. For several years, Pete was a part of a Monday night bowling league. He spent time working in his garden in Ravenna, taking trips to the casino, and relaxing in his recliner to watch his westerns.

Pete passed from this life on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the age of 83. Left with loving memories are his wife Billie White of Denison, Texas, son Rodney White of Sherman, Texas, and daughter Rochelle Grisafi (Shelby) of Grand Prairie, Texas; granddaughters Maia Grisafi of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Madison Grisafi of Los Angeles, California, and Lissa White of Sherman, Texas; grandson Miles Grisafi of Grand Prairie, Texas; great-granddaughters Emory White and Noa Gillespie of Sherman, Texas; brother Lawrence Douglas White (Gwen) of Dallas, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Gladys Cannon, Vertis Boyd, Jean Matthews, and brother Roy Henry White.

Funeral service for Mr. White will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Braxton officiating.
