Hyde Park - Raymond Harold Wright, 75, a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, September 18, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. Most recently Ray was the superintendent of Crum Elbow Apartments for Golden & Golden Construction Company, Hyde Park. Prior to that, he worked as a mason in the construction industry. He enjoyed taking rides with his beloved wife Peggy and fishing. Mr. Wright served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 – 1962. Born in Poughkeepsie on April 29, 1936, he was the son of the late William Louis and Theresa Gusvoor Wright. On February 18, 1961 in Corpus Christi, TX, he married Peggy G. Liles. Mrs. Wright survives at home. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Christine Levandusky of RI; Brenda Golden of Hyde Park; Nora Berrian of AZ; Debra Garrison of Staten Island; Son, William Wright of FL; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park, with a funeral service at 6:30 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Wyatt. In accordance with Ray's wishes, cremation will take place and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
