Raymond Milton Zoch was born to Walter and Ella Zoch on September 14, 1932 in Georgetown, Texas. He was the oldest of three children. He entered the body of Christ through baptism on October 2, 1932 and was confirmed on April 7, 1946 at Zion Lutheran, Walburg, TX. He was married June 9, 1957 to Laverne Alice Pillack at Trinity Lutheran, Alice, TX. They were blessed with three children, Randy Zoch, Lois (Keith) Montague and Annette (Ron) Wagner. He died at the age of 93 years, 1 month and 18 days.
Ray graduated from Texas A&M in 1957 with a degree in Agriculture Engineering. After graduation, he and Laverne married and moved to Columbus, GA where Ray worked for Lummus Cotton Gin as an engineer on cotton harvesting equipment. After two years, the product line was dropped, and the next nine years were spent on textile mill machinery. In 1968, the family moved back to Texas and Ray worked on data processing equipment. From 1982 until his retirement on September 30, 1997, Ray worked for Haggar Clothing Company designing Automation Machines for Haggar and other https://companies.Ray held numerous church offices. He frequently helped with church property maintenance including mowing the church lawn. He enjoyed spending time with his family and sharing information about the family history that he had spent many hours https://researching.
Ray is survived by his three children, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His wife Laverne and his brother Melvin Zoch preceded him. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Wilburn Michalk of Georgetown.
