R.B. Lashley Obituary
May 9, 1926 - June 13, 2024
R.B. Lashley, age 98, of Elmendorf, Texas, entered into the arms of our Lord on Thursday, June 13, 2024. He was born on May 9, 1926 to Thomas and Dolia Hatcher Lashley in Cowarts, Alabama. He was the youngest of eleven children.
He proudly served in the military. In the Army and re-enlisted and retired from the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant. He was a long-time farmer and rancher in Wilson and Atascosa counties, making many friends over the last sixty years.
R.B. was a loving, kind and caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved watching Alabama college football, playing and watching golf, and amongst many other things, raising various breeds of cattle. He coached CYO baseball at St. Margaret Mary's in San Antonio.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Regina Urbanczyk Lashley; parents, Thomas and Dolia Lashley; siblings, Jennings, Mary, John, Brinson, George, Bernice, Estelle, Bessie, Lessie, and Ottie.
R.B. is survived by his loving children, Janet Cleveland, Don Lashley (Devona); grandchildren, Michael Cleveland, Brandon Lashley (Lili), Megan Sessums (Steve), Blaine Lashley (Emily); great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Rylee Sessums, Lincoln and Elijah Lashley, June and Lucy Lashley; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville, Texas. A Rosary will be recited there at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held the following day at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville, Texas. Interment will be held at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Falls City, Texas.
The family would also like to express their heartfelt appreciation for all the love, support and prayers.
