Reagan Tarwater Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home - Centralia on Mar. 30, 2025.
Reagan Louise Tarwater passed away peacefully in the arms of her parents on March 28, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with CDH (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia.) She was five months old. She is proceeded in death by her brother Gabriel, sister Hannah, and her great grandmother Thelma Louise Sanders, from whom she received her middle name.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Centralia with burial to follow in the Centralia City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of the service on Thursday at the church.
Reagan was born at St Louis Children's Hosptial in the middle of a thunderstorm on October 25, 2024. Reagan had a large following of caring doctors, nurses, and one amazing housekeeper at STL Children's who cared for her and made her 5 months of life possible.
Reagan was known for her sweet smiles and her famous nose scrunches that would have family and hospital staff coming in throughout the day just for the chance to catch one. Even from her hospital crib Reagan would light up the room. However, Reagan would let you know very quickly if you were doing something she didn't like by giving you a glare that earned her the nickname of the "Side Eye Queen." Reagan would intently follow whoever was talking no matter what side of the room they were on, giving them her undivided attention. She enjoyed listening to the nurses gossip and the nurses commonly called it "teatime with Reagan." She loved sleeping with her hands up by her head and they would often end up in her mouth. She adored her mobile and favored the zebra most of all. She loved tummy time; until she didn't. Once she fell asleep on her tummy, she would wake up raging mad until flipped back over. She enjoyed her Kick and Play and would spend time reaching for her bird toy. She loved staring into her dad's eyes and sleeping in his arms. She loved snuggling her mom while being read to and giving her lots of smiles. She enjoyed all the attention from each of her Grandparents.
Regan is survived by her parents Taylor and Savannah Tarwater, Grandparents Steve and Sherri Tarwater, Donald and Carol Rodgers, and Sadie and Ken Kessler.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House and may be sent in care of Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home, 104 S. Collier St., Centralia, MO 65240.
