Rebecca Acosta Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by O'Connor Mortuary - Laguna Hills Chapel & Mortuary on Sep. 24, 2025.
Our beloved Rebecca Acosta passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 1 st, 2025 at the age of 83. Rebecca was born on May 3 rd, 1942, in Stanton, California to parents Marcus & Aurora Ambriz.

Rebecca worked in a variety of different industries, but her favorite jobs were being a CNA, caring for the elderly, especially Marie Callender, and volunteering as a hospice care assistant.

She met her husband of 40 years and one true love, Michael at a concert in Long Beach, they married when she was 18 and he was 17. They had three children, Michael, Martin, and Julia. They were truly each other's best friend and loved to travel, go to dances and spend time with family and friends.

Rebecca was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was known for her sage advice, her love for her family, her quick-witted sense of humor, her cooking, and her story-telling abilities. Rebecca loved to laugh and play make-believe with her two great-grandchildren, who affectionately referred to her as "Gigi". She was everything to everyone and is missed deeply, but she will live on in our hearts forever.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband Michael Acosta, her daughter Julie Acosta, brother Frank Ambriz and her beloved dog Cricket. She is survived by her siblings, Faye Swisher, Joe Ambriz, John Ambriz and Monica Sepulveda, her loving children, Michael Acosta II, Martin & Traci Acosta, her grandchildren Michael Acosta III, Marcus Acosta and wife Becky Acosta, Rebecca Osuna, Ryan Acosta and wife Sayer Acosta, Anthony Osuna, and her great-grandchildren Lucas and Grace Acosta.
