Rebecca Anne Adams
April 18th, 1977 - November 11th, 2025
Precious Rebecca. Cherished daughter, sister, mother, auntie, cousin, and friend is now safe in the gentle arms of Jesus. Forever beloved.
Rebecca was joyfully welcomed into this world in a little hospital in Montrose, Colorado. From infancy, everyone who saw her was struck by her beauty and said that she looked like a doll. Many of her Greek relatives lovingly called her kukla. The world soon found out that she was even more beautiful inside.
Rebecca was raised with a strong Christian faith. She gave her life to Jesus and was baptized at a young age. That faith would carry her through the joys and tribulations of the rest of her life. Rebecca's internal light helped illuminate the way for all who were blessed to know her.
Children always wanted to be near Becca and she was the first of her siblings to enter the field of education. She started with pre-school and moved into other grades as aide, teacher, and finally middle school as nurturing yard supervisor for Tracy Unified. For many years she gave time and resources volunteering for the Brighter Christmas charity. Along the way Rebecca worked as an assistant to an Oral Surgeon, worked seasonally for Hickory Farms, and just spread her special brand of love all over Tracy.
At home Rebecca valiantly fought for her own children– protecting, guiding, teaching them. She'd drive them all over NorCal to museums, festivals, libraries, and her favorite Bonfante Gardens. On a whim, she'd pile everyone into the car and heed the beckoning call of the water– heading to Half Moon Bay or Monterey. Her devotion and love to her children was unwavering and will live forever in the heart and soul of her dear son, Joshua. Today she is holding Alethea once again.
Her immediate family knows that Rebecca was a tender-hearted warrior and a savior. Caring for her Yiayia Angie, helping her daughter transition, healing her son, being there for all of us through life's many trials and joys. Everyone who knew her says she was the kindest, sweetest, most fun, and loyal person they've met. When she was asked what she would like people to remember about her she simply said, "My smile." That smile was her. A little shy, slightly enigmatic, strong, funny, sweet, supportive, kind, loving. We will never forget her smile.
Rebecca was a true Greek who loved good food, great music, a vibrant house full of laughter and joy. Nothing made her happier than all the kids running around singing, dancing, putting on shows and just loving each other. No holiday escaped her special touch and attention to detail. A true hostess until the end, she was mindful of the comfort and contentment of others while she was struggling to carry on.
Rebecca's love will always burn bright in the hearts of her many loved ones. She will never be forgotten by her son Joshua Kuhlmann who took care of her with a gentleness and care and love and protectiveness that she cherished. Her mother Elaine (Leni) Adams was her fellow adventurer, her best friend, her caretaker, her utterly devoted angel. Rebecca's father, Robert Adams, was faithfully present for her over these last many trying months, and was there as she crossed. Her brother Jeremiah Adams and sister Deborah Kim can't remember a world without their dear sister. They thank God that they were always so close and got along so well their whole lives. Becca and her sister Dana Adams met as teenagers and quickly grew up, each was married, had kids, and they walked through life together. Choong Man met Deborah and became an important part of Rebecca's life, spreading music and blessings. Rebecca spoiled all her nieces and nephews with love, acceptance, big hugs, and generosity. Jeremiah, Lucía, and Clover Adams will keep her memory alive with great stories and Rebecca's example of how to live right. Hope and Sola Kim will be raised with their own special memories of an Auntie who loved them so much. Rebecca leaves behind so many relatives and friends. In Rebecca's world all friends were family and we know they feel the same way.
Thank you to all who loved and supported Rebecca in every way they could. We were blessed knowing her and we pray we can all just be a little nicer and a little sweeter and a little kinder. Like Becca. Forever Young. Forever Beloved.
The Homegoing Service for Rebecca Adams is Tuesday, November 18th, 11:00am at Fry Memorial Chapel located at 550 S. Central Ave., Tracy. She will be laid to rest at Valpico Memorial Park, 12815 West Valpico Road, Tracy.
Heaven's Point Of View (song)
Today I faced a mountain that I have no strength to climb
And the struggle of this journey has
Left me weak both in body and mind
Where I stand at the peak is a distance on my own I cannot reach
So this journey of a thousand steps begins right here on my knees
Soon I'll soar like an eagle high on wings of grace
Far into the heavens where I'll see Him face to face
Rising in His splendor to heights I never knew
What once looked like a mountain is
just a hill from heaven's point of view
