It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rebecca Ann Baker, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this world on November 20, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on August 31, 1953, in
Lakeland, Florida, Rebecca dedicated her life to her family and her faith. Rebecca was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Lindy Wallace, who preceded her in death. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Kenneth Larry Baker, with whom she shared a beautiful life together, marrying on May 5, 1970. Their bond was a testament to love, laughter, and companionship, characterized by their weekly date nights every Sunday for breakfast, which Rebecca looked forward to with delight.
Rebecca was a proud and nurturing mother to her children, Sherrie Lynn McMasters and Andrew Lee Baker, who, along with his wife Brittany, carry on her spirit. As a grandmother, she adored her four grandchildren: Caleb, Abby, Brandie, and Tiffany. Her heart opened even wider as she welcomed three great-grandchildren-Clay, Everleigh, and Alina-into her life, each one bringing her immense joy and pride.
Known as the light of her home, Rebecca had a personality that warmed everyone's hearts. She was a loving homemaker who took joy in feeding her family and sharing meals filled with love. She was often seen with a smile on her face, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her playful nature and great sense of humor could light up any room, and she had a special way of charming her husband, Larry, often getting away with anything with a twinkle in her eye.
In her spiritual journey, Rebecca was baptized in the 1980s in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and her love for the Lord and dedication to her faith were evident in her daily life. She loved to spread kindness and warmth to everyone she encountered. Her interests included trying her luck with scratch-off lottery tickets, a small thrill that brought her joy, and being immersed in the love that surrounded her.
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her children, Sherrie and Andrew (Brittany); her grandchildren, Caleb, Abby, Brandie, and Tiffany; her great-grandchildren, Clay, Everleigh, and Alina; and her siblings, Vance, Michael, and Donna. Each of them carries a piece of her legacy forward.
Viewing for Rebecca will be on Monday December 1, 2025, from 4-6 pm and a celebration of Rebecca's life will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM both will be held at Central Florida Casket Store and Funeral Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Burial Park after her funeral. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor the memory of a truly remarkable woman who touched the lives of many.
As we say goodbye to Rebecca, we hold close the memories of her laughter, her kindness, and the love she so freely gave. She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her spirit and the warmth she brought into their lives. Rest in peace, dear Rebecca; your light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who love you.
