Rebecca "Becky" Jo Buff, 69, of Gilbert, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Born in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Albert Finley and Pauline Goodman Meetze. Becky was married to the late Willie Buff. She loved her job as a breakfast cook at Tha Store in Gilbert, where she kept everyone on their toes. Known for serving the most interesting breakfast in town, you might not always get what you ordered, but you got what Becky was in the mood to make, and that was usually even better.
She is survived by her children, Colina Hess (Nick), Tanya Gentry (David), Tasha Harrington, Charanjeet “C.J.” Virk (Rana), and Dustin Buff; honorary son, Tracy Lee Saunders; grandchildren, Brooke Houshiar (Rhom), Gregory Hess (Amanda), Alicia Shealy (Donnie), Kristin Pegueros (Chupon), Chris Ward (Brittany), Cole Gentry (Sanyia), Hunter Bickley (Candice), Morghan Bickley, Kayla Middleton, Tanner Harrington, Roma Virk, and Sharon Virk; and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Gloria Meetze Chavis and Ronnie Meetze, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Becky was preceded in death by her son, Dwight Bickley; and brother-in-law, Johnny Chavis.
A memorial service to honor Becky’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 12th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, with Rev. Roscoe Corder officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Becky wouldn’t want anyone dressing up on her account, so the family kindly requests casual attire. Come comfortable, just as she would’ve liked.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital—a cause dear to her heart.
