Rebecca Ann Byars, 63, of Mason, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025. She was born on August 29, 1962, and throughout her life she touched countless hearts with her kindness, humor, and free spirit.

Rebecca is survived by her devoted son, Christopher Byars, and his wife, Estella; her cherished grandchildren, CJ (16), Peyton (13), Adrianna (11), and Luke (9); her loving sisters, Teresa Tucker and Vickie Thomas; her brother-in-law, William Byars; and her beloved Siamese cat, Sara. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she fiercely protected and adored them every single day.

A lifelong lover of animals, Rebecca dedicated herself as an animal rehabilitation specialist for wildlife, giving second chances to creatures in need. She was happiest when surrounded by nature, especially when hummingbirds fluttered nearby, and she carried her love for the color purple into every corner of her life.

Rebecca's spirit was full of music and dance, and her unique sense of humor and quirky charm made her truly unforgettable. She was known for her gentle soul and generous heart. She was

always willing to give the shirt off her back to help another. Her legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will live on in all who knew her.

One of Rebecca's grandsons remembers her comforting words: "When I die and you feel a breeze on your cheek, that is me passing through to say hello." Her family and friends will carry those words in their hearts, knowing her spirit will always be near.

A celebration of Rebecca's life will be held at a future date to be determined. Details will be shared by the family once arrangements are made.
