Rebecca Ann Elam, age 60, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at her home in Stanton, Kentucky. She was born in Henderson, Kentucky, on June 30, 1964, to the late Stephen Mitchell Collinsworth and Elizabeth Ann Windhaus Collinsworth. Rebecca was a proud graduate of Powell County High School, having completed her studies in the class of 1982. She enjoyed her career as a Utility Specialist at Amazon, where her dedication and hard work shone brightly. A true lover of the great outdoors, Rebecca found immense joy in fishing and canoeing, often spending her weekends by the water, relishing the tranquility of nature. Camping trips were cherished adventures for her, where she would immerse herself in the beauty of the wilderness. Her passion for the outdoors also extended to her artistic pursuits; she had a remarkable talent for drawing, often capturing the serene landscapes and delicate butterflies that inspired her. In addition to her creative flair, Rebecca was known for her culinary skills, delighting family and friends with her delicious home-cooked meals. Ceramics was another hobby she embraced, as she enjoyed molding, shaping, and painting clay into beautiful pieces. Time spent with her granddaughter, Jade, was truly precious to Rebecca. They would often bond over soccer or engage in various ball games, laughing and playing together as they created lasting memories. Known for her playful spirit, Rebecca had a knack for joking around and bringing smiles to those around her. She cherished life, embracing every moment until illness challenged her vibrant existence. Above all, Rebecca enjoyed her home and relished the time spent with her beloved family, making each gathering a heartfelt celebration of love and connection. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Anthony Harlan Elam; one son, Harlan Mitchell (Kimberly) Elam of Richmond; one daughter, Anthia Nicole Elam of Clay City; one step-daughter, Alishia Kaye (Danny) Hon of Mt. Sterling; two sisters: Angela (Steve) Rogers of Stanton, and Stephanie Collinsworth of Lexington; one granddaughter, Jade Elizabeth Kennon; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral Services, officiated by Bro. Jeff Adams will be held at the funeral home immediately following at 7:00 P.M. Honorary pallbearers are Lloyd and Phyllis Fantz, Kelvin Elam, Chester Crabtree, Houston Adkins, and C.B. Martin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
