Becky and I were cousins. Becky was born a couple of years before me so she remembered me as a baby. We always had special connection. Our time together was always sweet and gentle and kind. We just enjoyed being with each other. One day when I was very young, she was taking care of the rabbits and she had a little round reddish disc in her hand. I asked her what it was and she said it´s a brand new salt lick for the rabbits. She handed it to me said, "Lick it." And I did. It was salty. She also let me taste an alfalfa pellet she was going to feed the rabbits. These were valuable and memorable learning experiences. Becky once took me and my brothers out to a pond on my Aunt and Uncles property to go ice-skating for the first time. She took us horseback riding often and she always gave me the best horse. When my dad got a job transfer, we moved from Spokane to Yakima so we didn´t see so much of each other during that time. Although I did send one summer working on Uncle Neb´s dairy farm and a got to spend time with Becky. The most resent time I saw Becky was at my Mom´s 90th birthday celebration in Spokane. We still had that special connection. When I saw that she was leaving, I ran over to her and gave her a hug and said, "I love you, Becky." She said, "I love you, too." That was the last time we saw each other.
I love you, Becky.
