Irene Horn Mitchell Obituary
Born on November 14, 1928 in Irvine, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Elijah “EP” and Mamie (Wiseman) Moreland.
Irene was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her lifelong calling was to take care of others, which she did so lovingly. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed planting in her beautiful flower garden. Irene loved to cook, and she hosted many family dinners for all of her extended family and friends. Above all, Irene’s pride and joy was her family and the time she spent with them.
Preceded in death by her Husbands: Albert B. Horn and Joseph Mitchell; Children: Charles Horn and Albert M. Horn; Grandchild: Jessica Horn; Siblings: Franklin Moreland, Euie Moreland, Mills Moreland, Daniel Moreland, Acie Moreland, and William Moreland.
Survived by Daughter: Glenna Brannon (Wayne); Son: Roger (Debbie) Horn; Daughter-in-law Julie Horn her beloved grandchildren: Becky (Heath) Brockman, Jeremy Horn, and Joshua (Ashley) Horn; 9 great-grandchildren; Brothers: Donald Moreland, and Charlie Moreland; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Dr. Rev. Greg F. Jackson officiating. Interment will be held in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
