Rebecca Reese Lane, of Albany Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at her residence, at the age of 86. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Mathews Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Dr. Emil Askew will officiate.
Born on September 15, 1938, in Graves, Georgia, to the late Cecil Henry and Marjorie Louise Reese. Rebecca's career was marked by her roles at Dr. Green Dental Office and A-1 Wrecker Service. In her personal life, Rebecca found joy in life through her hobbies, particularly tending to her flower beds and working in her yard. She was a member of Herrod Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Lane and their children: Debra Little Jones (Allen) of Albany, GA, Pamella Paulk of Albany, GA, and Emmet "Bucky" Ward IV (Christy) of Orange, TX. Michael “Rusty” Lane (Wendy) of Newton, GA. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. Additionally, Rebecca is survived by her siblings, Mary Jacquelyn Kemp of Tallahassee, FL, and Sonny Reese of Herod, GA.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday July 15, 2025, one hour prior to the funeral at Mathews Funeral Home.
