Rebecca Lewczak, 50, of Whippany, NJ, passed at her home on September 27, 2024. Born on October 28, 1973, in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the beloved daughter of Stanley and Irene (Klemchuk) Lewczak.
Rebecca had a zest for life that was reflected in her many passions. She adored traveling, with Europe holding a special place in her heart; she even celebrated her wedding in England. An avid photographer and reader, she found beauty in the world around her and cherished the moments captured through her lens. She had a unique flair for fashion and enjoyed expressing herself through her jewelry and eclectic way of presenting herself. She had various arts and crafts projects, showcasing her creativity and dedication.
A true animal lover, Rebecca was a devoted "cat lady," finding joy and companionship in her feline friends. Her kindness and gentle nature touched everyone who knew her.
Rebecca is survived by her ex-husband and dear friend, Adrian Gill; her sister, Catherine Cocilovo, and husband Frank; sister-in-law Candace Lewczak; nieces Angela Glynn, Kendall Lewczak, and Rowan Lewczak; nephews Michael Lewczak, Vincent and Frank Cocilovo, and her best friend, Kari Rosato. She was predeceased by her brother, Stanley Lewczak, Jr.
Her greatest joy came from being a part of Michael, Rowan and Kendall's lives and watching them grow up.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rebecca's honor to a local animal shelter of your choice, celebrating her lifelong love for animals.
There are no services at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Newbaker Funeral Home, Blairstown, NJ.
