Obituary published on Legacy.com by Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations on Sep. 12, 2025.
Rebecca Jeanine Teets, age 67, had hysterectomy surgery in February 2025 and was admitted to the hospital again September 3, 2025 with back pains and headache. An aneurysm was discovered and she did not recover. Jeanine Teets was born to Paul Raymond "Ray" and Pattie Lou Bess Teets April 25, 1958. She grew up with Mom, Dad, and three brothers: Michael, Rick, and Terry Teets. She cutely called the brothers, "My Boysies." She moved from St. Louis, Missouri to Florida in 1963. Was schooled in Vero Beach, Florida and moved to Sorrento, Florida with husband Cas Garcia. Following Cas death and Mom and Dad's retirement she located to Tavares, Florida where she lived until she passed. Jeanine was a children's story writer. She wrote numerous unpublished books and songs. Her collections of writings, favorite books and movies filled her space. She enjoyed working in the garden and modeling her back yard. She was caregiver for our parents for many years. She was a very special daughter and sister. Jeanine was predeceased by Husband: Cas Garcia, Father: Ray Teets, Brother: Michael and wife Shirley Teets and Nephew Bryan Teets. She is survived by Mother: Pattie Teets, Brother: Rick and wife Linda Teets, Brother: Terry and wife Debra Teets, Nieces: Devorah Sanchez, Paula Teets, Tracey Aramino, Emily Bean, Natalie Teets and nephews: Chris Bradshaw, and Nathan Teets. Also survived by many cousins and Stepfamily members. Her love and uniqueness will be missed by all of us. RIP little Sister.
