Recordo Buyerming Hales

Recordo Buyerming Hales, of Hartford, Connecticut, departed this life on Friday, December 19, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital. Born on June 7, 1961, in Copperwood, Clarendon, Jamaica, West Indies, son of the late Muriel Howitt-Williams and Moralis B. Hales, he was raised in Clarendon and was a graduate of Copperwood All Age School and Edwin Allen High School.

Recordo visited the United States for the first time in the 1990's and settled in Hartford in the early 2000's. He spent most of his career in Connecticut at the Bradley Sheraton Hotel and most recently had worked for Transportation Management Solutions in Hartford. He dedicated decades of his life to the hospitality industry, garnering many awards and achievements which are not only a testament to his hard-working nature, but also to his inimitable ability to cater to everyone he came in contact with.

Recordo was a family-oriented and friendly man who enjoyed family gatherings as well as the companionship of others.

His loving memory will be cherished by his many sons and daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

His family will receive friends on Saturday, January 31, 10-11 a.m., followed by a Homegoing Service at 11 a.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Burial will be in the Howitt-Williams Family Plot in Copperwood, Clarendon, Jamaica on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
