Reda Smith Obituary
Born in Elizabethtown to Willard and Alice Hawkins, Reda devoted her life to hard work and caring for others. She spent many years as a waitress at Big T Truck Stop and PoFolks, where she was known for her kindness, dedication and the friendships she built with those she served.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Stanton; her siblings, Darlene Hawkins, Ronald Hawkins and Robert Hawkins; and her parents, Willard and Alice Hawkins.
Reda's memory will be lovingly cherished by her daughters, April (Tim) Padgett of Elizabethtown, Patricia (Glyn) Thompson of Sonora and Stacy Rolff of Leitchfield; her siblings, Sina Brackett, Betty Fields, Gary (Sadie) Hawkins, Jean (Patsy) Hawkins and Jerry Hawkins; her grandchildren, Reena, Jessica, Jasmine, Dustin, Kristian, Tyler, Cody, Chaz, Colee, Carson and Trace; as well as several great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with burial to follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
