Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 820 Forest Avenue, Jackson, Mississippi. His Final Resting Place will be at Pleasant Green Cemetery, MS Highway 43, Sharon, Mississippi.
As God would have the final say on November 4, 2025, Reggie was summoned home. Reggie Caleb Porter was the eighth child born to Caleb and Minerva Davis on February 5, 1940 in Sharon, Mississippi.
Reggie attended Velma Jackson Elementary School in Camden Mississippi. Reggie relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1952 and attended Lincoln High School.
Reggie worked at Briggs and Stratton for 30 years, where he met his current wife, Levester in 1983. Upon retiring they moved to Flora, Mississippi in 1997. Reggie was employed by Southern Farm Bureau as a security officer for 16 years.
Reggie leaves behind a wife, Levester Porter; two children: Angela, Brown, and Reggie C. (Jackie) Porter, III; four grandchildren, Brandon (Kitchy) Porter, Kelsey Ann Courtney Brown, Javon (Mari Henry) Porter and ; two great grandchildren: Autumn Porter and Jahari Porter. Reggie is survived by two siblings: Minnie McClendon and Robert Porter; six siblings preceded him in death: Phillip Chin, Eldridge Williams, Maudell Davis, Coleman Porter, John Porter and Lloyd Williams. Reggie leaves a legacy of love, kindness and cherished memories from a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
