Mrs. Regina Bernice Jenkins Pruitt, age 69 of Shelby, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Gary Stanley Pruitt Sr. of the home, her children, Gary Pruitt Jr. of Claremont, NC, and Ashley Pruitt Camp and husband Chuck of Boiling Springs, NC, a grandson, Wyatt Camp of Boiling Springs, NC, and her siblings, Tira Roberts of Shelby, NC, Kathy Fink of Shelby, NC, and Charles “Chuck” Jenkins and wife Thea of Fallston, NC.
Born February 23, 1956, in Cleveland County, NC, Regina was the daughter of the late Conway Jackson Jenkins and Shirly Mae Smith Jenkins.
Regina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a faithful member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Regina dedicated her life to her husband, family and her church. She worked and retired from the City of Shelby. Regina enjoyed Christmas Shopping, watching movies, traveling to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends. Regina would always put others first. Her kids were her pride and joy. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
A visitation will be held from 6:00pm – 8:00pm Friday, November 21, 2025, at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. A Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Beaver Dam Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tom Runyon and Rev. Jason Koon. Burial will follow at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Bostic.
