This past CHristmas I was with my brother, Rob and sister-in-law, Cheryl in New Hampshire. I was going through some of Cheryl's favorite holiday recipes and came across a "handwritten standard of a family recipe". It was for a cookie (I think it was called Angelini). It was a cookie that would be made for special occasions where there would be lots of people. The recipe that Cheryl had was from "REGINA". Cheryl described how she first came across this cookie...........she said that she was down the "block" for a special occasion and she saw Regina coming out her back door with a HUGE tray of these lovely cookies.......Regina gave Cheryl one to taste and Cheryl was "hooked". Regina gave Cheryl the recipe (which she cuts down on the amounts) and it is the recipe Cheryl uses. Regina was a great cook and baker and I'm sure her children and grandchildren will enjoy her recipes for many years to come!

The Dalicandro family was the center of my world as I was growing up. Sundays were spent "on the block" with grandma, aunts, uncles, and cousins. I was very close to all of my cousins. Regina was one of the "OLDER" cousins whom I admired. I remember her and Patty helping Aunt Nina prepare everything for the Sunday visits from family. Everything was done with such lOVE for family. The "block" was a special place and was a cornerstone of my adolescence. I can still hear Regina's laugh and see her smile ! Sally Gregoire
