Regina "Sweetie" K. Keefer, age 94, of Corning, NY went home to her Lord and Savior December 6, 2025. Born September 4, 1931, in Bradford, NY, she was the daughter of Stanley and Anna Konopski. On August 15, 1953, at St. Stanislaus Church, she married Adelbert "Deb" Keefer. She worked as a telephone operator while raising their four sons. Her hands built a family. Her prayers covered generations. Her wisdom shaped us, even in moments we were too young to understand. And her legacy woven through every life she touched will echo far beyond the boundaries of this world. She was a quiet strength, a gentle presence, and a living reminder that God places angels not just in the skies, but right beside us; guiding us, protecting us, and loving us long before we realize the magnitude of the gift we've been given. Her spirit will live forever in our stories, in our hearts, and in every act of kindness we offer each day. Say honest.
Surviving are her four sons, Gregory (Marie) Keefer of Burdett, NY, Craig (Kelly) Keefer of Corning, NY, Christopher (Nancy) Keefer of Port Orange, FL and Todd (Brendalyn) Keefer of Corning, NY; five grandchildren, Holli (Jason) Wood of Big Flats, NY, Cassandra (Andrew) Azar of Lansdale, PA, Matthew (Kristy) Keefer of Webster, NY, Samantha (Michael) Schamel of Hector, NY and Mitchell (Katie) Keefer of San Diego, CA; eight great grandsons, Bryson, Andrew, Dominic, Joseph, Cannon, Parker, Aiden and Easton; two great granddaughters, Reese and Robbie and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Adelbert "Deb" Keefer and her eight siblings; Henry (Hank), Maria (Mamie), Jeanette (Eppy), Walter (Pinko), Stanley (Fat), Anna, Joseph (Toots) and Valentine (Val).
Visitation will be held on December 26, 2025 from noon-1:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath, NY. Condolences may be made at www.fagansfuneralhome.com.
