Regina McHenry Obituary

Regina McHenry, 81, of Brigantine, passed away on Wednesday January 19, 2022. Regina was born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph A. and Lydia "Jerry" (Newmann) McHenry. She was a graduate of St Hubert's High for Girls in Philadelphia. She attended the University of Houston where she received a degree in Bi-Lingual and Bi-Cultural Education. She taught school in the Houston School District before coming to Brigantine where she taught (ESL) English as a Second Language for over 30 years until her retirement. Regina enjoyed having lunch and spending time with her friends at the Brigantine Senior Center. She is survived by her son Andrew McHenry and her grandchildren Kaitlyn, Ethan and Emily McHenry. Relatives, friends and fellow co-workers from the Brigantine Public Schools are invited to attend Regina's Life Celebration on Saturday February 5, 2022 from 11 to 11:50AM at the Keates-Plum Funeral Home, 3112 Brigantine Ave Brigantine. Memorial Service will follow at Noon at the funeral home. Interment will be private at a later date. The family requests in lieu of flowers please send donations to the Humane Society of Atlantic County, 1401 Absecon Blvd. Atlantic City, NJ 08203. Due to COVID 19 the family kindly requests all attendees please wear a mask.

Regina you left us before I could tell you Emily got accepted into wiedner university! She made it! Please watch over katie, Emily, and Ethan keep them safe and help not make bad decisions. We will forever love you and miss you

My heartfelt sympathy to Andrew and her grandchildren. She was a dedicated worker for all the children of Brigantine Schools. I appreciated all her help working the before school and after school program many years. Her grandchildren will miss her and her positive encouragement. Rest in eternal peace.

I would like to say a few words for miss regina...she loved going to the beach and spending time with her grand babies. She loved her Spanish families from brigantine school.

Every Sunday she made her family homemade spaghetti. We didn't always see eye to eye but she did so many wonderful things for us over the years. I'm glad she passed before her son andrew passed I can't even imagine the pain of burying your baby. Regina rest easy; you'll always be loved and missed ❤
