Regina Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Murrieta Valley Funeral Home on Dec. 10, 2025.
Regina Williams was born on May 1, 1952, in Los Angeles, California, to Johnnie and Mary Agatha Williams. She grew up in a large and loving blended family as one of many siblings. Regina was preceded in death by her parents; by her sister, Renee Earls, who passed in 1967 and whose young son, Ronnie Jones, became especially precious to Regina; and by her brothers Howard Earl River, John Williams, and Leon Williams. She is survived by her brothers Melvin Williams (Linda) and her sister Renee Woodard (William "Bill" Woodard), who remained lovingly present throughout her life.

Although Regina was born with cognitive challenges, her mother, Mary, nurtured her with steadfast love and unwavering belief. Mary made sure Regina learned the skills she needed to thrive, treating her no differently than any of her other children. With her family's support and her own determination, Regina grew into a capable, warm-hearted, and independent woman.

Raised in Los Angeles, Regina attended Mount Vernon Junior High School and later the Westside Regional Center, where she continued her education and personal development.

In 1980, Regina met the love of her life, Norman Avery White. Their bond was deep and devoted, and together they welcomed their beloved son, Patrick Avery White, on January 17, 1985. Patrick was their joy, their pride, and the center of their world. Though Norman passed in 1995, Regina carried their love forward every day, and had an especially close bond with his parents, Leonard and Norma Kessee who affectionately looked after her per his request.

Regina leaves behind her cherished son, Patrick; her adored granddaughters Keyanna, Aniyah, and Tahleya White; her grandsons Elijah and Paxton White; and a host of relatives and friends who will forever remember her gentle spirit, bright smile, and kind & grateful heart.

The family extends special gratitude to the staff of the Inland Empire Adult Day Healthcare Center, where Regina spent the past 12 years. She truly loved attending each weekday and was proud of the Perfect Attendance Awards she received over the years.

Regina's life was shaped by love-love she received and love she freely gave. Her memory will continue to bless all who knew her.

Patrick's Letter to Mom

To my mom:

"Made of Magic"

Mom, you were one of a kind. You knew no limits when it came to me or my family. We didn't have much when I was growing up, but whether it was Christmas time, having a roof over our heads or having something to eat, you made it happen in order to put a smile on my face. There was never a time that I went hungry. Mom, you would do what you had to do, by any means to make sure I was fed. There was nothing I could do wrong in your eyes. You were always so proud of me no matter what I did. Mom, you were made of magic and are the true definition of what unconditional love is. Momma, I'm sorry, and I miss you so much! Rest well.

Love, your son, Patrick
