Reginald Baines Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by E. F. Boyd & Son Funeral Home - Cleveland on Dec. 16, 2025.
Reginald Gilbert Baines AKA" Detroit Ave Finest" was born on March 27th 1985 to Jacqueline Toni Baines and Donald Edward Gray (preceded him in death) He departed this life suddenly on December 11th 2025.

Reginald attended the Cleveland Municipal School District. Although he was born on the east side of Cleveland he lived the majority of his life on the West Side of Cleveland where his nickname "Detroit Ave Finest" was born.

Reginald accepted Christ at the young age of eight years old where he was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church on East 55th in Cleveland, Ohio. He loved the Lord and acknowledged him openly. Reginald believed in family, he had a kind heart, he was funny, loving intelligent wise beyond his years. He was big on elevating himself, his children and his community he gave unselfishly. He often spoke about generational wealth and financial literacy he wanted nothing more than seeing his family and friends financially free. Everyone that knew him would say he was one of the good guys. He made sure that his nieces nephews and children and his friends always had what they needed even if that meant he went without.

Although Reginald was stricken with sickle cell anemia from birth and other health issues throughout the years he never let it define him. He lived every day to the fullest and always looked towards the future, to make a greater life for his children and himself. He was able to fulfill his dream of honoring his father by opening up "Goodies Smoke Shop & Apparel" Honoring his dad was paramount.

He leaves to mourn his mother Jacqueline Toni Baines, wife of 23 years Latisha, 7 children, Laneasha Littlejohn, Keashie Bohannon, Reniya Baines, Reginald Baines Jr., Donald Baines, Reginae Baines and Raymir Baines.
