Reginald Klubeck Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home on Mar. 17, 2026.
Reginald "Reg" Anthony Klubeck, of Cadillac, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at his home. He was 63 years old.

Reg was born on August 18, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan, to Reginald Ferdinand and Patricia "Pat" Ann (LaPrise) Klubeck. He graduated from Cadillac High School with the Class of 1980. Following graduation, Reg devoted many years to higher education, attending Berklee College of Music, Michigan State University, St. Meinrad Seminary College, and the Athenaeum of Ohio. During his studies, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science with a thesis in freshwater ecology, completed a 21-credit minor in Philosophy, studied two years of Latin, and went on to receive a Master of Divinity after 7 years in Catholic seminary and a year as Benedictine Monk.

Reg enjoyed traveling, and two of his favorite places to visit were Camp Greilick near Traverse City and Olga Lake. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking-especially baked beans, a recipe he tweaked and perfected over more than 40 years. He also enjoyed reading, collecting Native American lore, crafting, and practicing calligraphy. Reg was especially proud of his involvement with Boy Scouts of America in Cadillac through Troop 125. He earned the rank of Star Scout as a youth and later returned to serve as Scoutmaster, sharing his knowledge and guidance with younger scouts. He treasured the memories and friendships formed during more than 35 years of service. Later in life, Reg proudly cared for his parents. Though known as an introvert, he deeply valued the time he spent visiting with family and friends.

Reg is survived by his loving siblings, Bill (Tammy) Klubeck of Zeeland and Becky (Reg) Harris of Cadillac; nieces and nephews, Troy, Terry, Kelly, Matthew and Laura Klubeck; aunt, Linda LaPrise; several cousins; and many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reginald and Pat Klubeck.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Interment will take place next to his parents at Maple Hill Cemetery.
