...Reggie lived fully, laughed freely, and loved deeply …
REGINALD FITZGERALD LEWIS began his earthly journey on November 11, 1964. He was the second born son of the late Tommie Lewis, Jr. and Verdell Glee Lewis. The couple raised REGINALD, along with his older brother Graylin, in Wakulla, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tommie Lewis, Jr., his paternal grandparents Tommie, Sr. and Frenchie Lewis, and his maternal grandparents Ulysses, Sr. and Hassie Glee. REGINALD was baptized into the Christian faith as a child; he was nourished and sustained as a member of Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church #2 in Wakulla County; he later attended Christian Heritage Church in Tallahassee, Florida.
REGINALD, or REGGIE as he was affectionately called, lived a life enriched by the love of God, family and friends. He was educated in the public schools of Wakulla County; and was employed by Florida A&M University.
Friends and family will remember Reggie as the fun-loving man they called “Weasel or Weaz”. Weaz told the greatest jokes and got pleasure out of a good laugh. In his spare time he loved fishing, gardening, cooking, sharing meals and great times with his children and friends, and tending to his cats and parakeet. But in the Fall of the year, you could always find him pulling for his favorite football team, the Florida State Seminoles.
REGINALD transitioned to eternal life on Saturday, January 3, 2026. His presence in the lives of his family and friends will be dearly missed.
REGGIE leaves his legacy and unending love to his mother, Verdell Lewis of Tallahassee, Florida; brother, Graylin Lewis (Sauga) of Seattle, Washington; sister, Tanetta Lewis of Tallahassee, Florida; daughters, Kaprice Robinson and Destani Lewis both of Tallahassee, Florida; sons, sons, Terrell Lewis (Kristen) and Terrain Lewis (Michelle) all of Crawfordville Florida; grandchildren, A’ini Robinson, Alanna Lewis, Lyla Lewis, Lily Lewis, Rowan Laxton Lewis, Bella Lewis, Cannon Lewis; aunts, Jennie Jones, Evelyn Mobley (German), Lueva (Thomas); uncle: Ulysses Glee, Jr.; his former wife Tonya Lewis, his dear friends Jerry Arnett and Patricia Nieves, and a host of loved and adored relatives and friends.
