Reginaldo Chapa Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Davis Greenlawn Funeral Chapels and Cemeteries on Mar. 12, 2026.
In loving memory of Reginaldo Chapa, November 2, 1939- March 9, 2026

Born on November 2, 1939, in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to Raul and Inez Chapa, Reginaldo was raised in Nuevo Leon, where he met and married his beloved wife of 60 years, Minerva Chapa Saldivar.

Soon after their wedding, the couple moved to Delano, California, before settling in Rosenberg to raise their family.

Reggie and Minerva were blessed with four sons, and together they built a life filled with love and hard work.

Reggie dedicated much of his career to the oil fields, where he instilled an example of hard work to his sons.

After retiring, he could often be found savoring his wife's amazing cooking, reminiscing about life in Mexico, and most joyfully, spending time with his grandchildren. He affectionately called each of his grandsons "my boy" every time he saw them, while he greeted each of his granddaughters with "Lindas de PoPo" (Grandpa's beautiful girls).

Reginaldo is survived by: His loving wife, Minerva Chapa Saldivar

Children: Rigo (Lea) Chapa, Ovidio Chapa, Reggie Jr. (Michelle) Chapa, and Raul (Rosangela) Chapa
