She was born in the Philippines on May 20, 1937 daughter of Ruperto Alcasid and Maria Salud Alcasid.
Remy is survived by her loving sons Joel (Ruth), Dennis (Jeanne), and Leo "Butch".
She had 2 wonderful and loving grandsons Dylan and Nicholas from Dennis and his wife Jeanne.
Dennis remembered his mom as a beautiful, loving, and caring mother. Always understanding and forgiving, as a devote Catholic she led her life in the name of the Lord our God. Joel her oldest son, recalls their daily phone conversations about what Mom was up to and talking about her Warriors basketball team, and always saying "God bless you, say hello to Ruth, and good luck on with your specimens". Mom was always excited near Christmas time when Joel, Ruth and Dolce (family Italian Greyhound) visited from Bloomington, IN. Mom looked forward to Leo (the youngest) and his dogs, Scrappy and Olive, who came over after work to stay with her 4 nights a week and took her to Church every Saturday or Sunday. Remy is the loving wife of Lorenzo Ybe who passed away on May 30, 2021.
