Remembering Pele

Truly a big loss as I remember fondly watching him play growing up. We pray that God continues to strengthen and comfort the family and friends during this extremely difficult time.

Pelé was the very best soccer player of all time. He will be missed, my sincerest condolences to his family and may God help you though your grief.

My Father Ronald Zammit played soccer with the Brazilians in the Detroit area. He was a great fan of Pele as I am. He will be missed but now My Father and Pele can play soccer for all time.

I saw Pele play in a soccer game at Baltimore´s Memorial Stadium in 1973. He was completely different than any other player on the field. He controlled the ball as well as a basketball player and was a joy to watch.

The original soccer champion who became known and beloved the whole world over. Pele’ was soccer and soccer was Pele’. His presence, talent and wonderful spirit will be missed. Sincerest condolences to his family, your loss is shared and felt by so many. May God be with you all.

I remember seeing a soccer player on TV for the very first time and they said his name was Pele'. It has been 60 years since I saw his play and still no one can compare to Pele'. RIP Pele', you have brought world attention to yourself, to Brazil, your sport, and South America.

Legend and icon come to mind but, they hardly seem enough. Pelé’ epitomized soccer and brought soccer to the world. Truly amazing to watch okay, he never disappointed. Prayers for his family, so very sorry for your loss, may God be with you in your time of loss.

I met Pele when I was 9 years at a week long soccer clinic in Dallas Texas (late 1970's) . He was such a giver, teacher, role model and influence in my soccer career. Thank you Pele.
