Rena Joyce "Tot" Preston, 97, of Perryville passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026. Born in Lebanon Junction on July 9, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Charles Warren and Kate Baker Dye.
Tot was a member of Perryville Community Church formally known as Perryville United Methodist Church and the EMRMC Auxiliary. She attended Perryville school from 1934-1944 and graduated from Danville High School in 1946. Tot married William "Billy" Franics Preston and the family moved to Monticello in 1955. She worked for Monticello School and the War on Poverty. When returning to Danville, Tot worked for Whitehouse Humprey Car Dealership and retired in 1992 as a Deputy PVA. She and Billy spent winters in Floridia and traveled to the Northeast several times a year.
Tot is survived by her daughter, Sally (David) Cochran of Danville; sons: John (Jennifer) Preston of Monticello and Richard Preston of Frankfort; sister, Jacqulyn Stigall of Danville; two grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Tot was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William Francis Preston; son, Charles Joseph Preston; brother, Robert Dye; sister, Margaret Moore; and grandson, Matthew Joseph Preston.
Visitation is 11:00am-12:00pm, Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Perryville Community Church. Memorial service will be 12:00pm at Perryville Community Church with Bro. Tim Schindler officiating.

Memorial Contributions are suggested to Shiners Children's Hospital and Heritage Hospice.
