Rena D. Shocik

LEICESTER: Rena D. (Martin) Shocik,92, formerly of Willow Hill Rd., Cherry Valley section of Leicester, died Friday, Dec. 15th in Life Care Center of Auburn.She was the wife of Clemens L. Shocik who died in 2005. She leaves her daughter;Vickie A. McDermott of Spencer, her sons; Michael C. Shocik and his spouse Al of Charlton, John E. Shocik and his wife Judy of Cherry Valley and Edward A. Shocik and his wife Cathy of PalmBay, FL., 12 grandchildren;
many great and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Robert Martin and her sister Jean Janitis.
Rena was a longtime secretary for Eddington Thread Co. in Worcester prior to her retirement.
She was born in Franklin, NH., the daughter of Ernest and Lillian (Jacques) Martin. She enjoyed her cats, reading and belonged to several area book clubs over the years.
Private graveside services in Cherry Valley Cemetery will take place at a later date and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Chance Animal Services, P.O. Box 136, E.Brookfield, MA 01515. The MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester is assisting the family with arrangements.
