Mrs. Rena Louise Wanamaker, age 70, a Grundy County native, passed away on Monday, November 03, 2025 following an extended illness. She was born on December 30, 1954 to the late Oliver Stanton Hayes and Mary Lou Lawrence Hayes. She was a faithful wife known as "Weezy" to her husband of 43 years Danny Wanamaker, who preceded her in death. She was a retired employee of Finley Industries and Lowe's. Her green thumb was evident with her numerous indoor and outdoor plants she cared for. You could often see various types of plants sitting inside her house and outside on her porches. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers Norman Hayes, Paul Hayes and Morgan Hayes, sister Gracie Hayes, and grandchild Jesse Waters all of McMinnville, TN.

Survivors include her daughter and caregiver Emma Grace Wanamaker, sons Corey (Jennifer) Wanamaker and Chris (Shae) Wanamaker, sisters in law Carrie Lou Tate and Loretta Roberts, and special brother-in-law Foster Wanamaker. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive. The family would like to extend their special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and Willowbranch Health and Rehab for their continuous kindness and support during this difficult time.

Funeral service for Mrs. Rena Louise Wanamaker is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 08, 2025 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Jason Brown will officiate.
