Renae Goodrich Westerbur, 65, of
Kennewick, Washington, passed away on December 3rd, 2023. She was born in
Roosevelt, Utah on March 24th, 1958, to Charles Jack Goodrich and Ellen Gilbert Goodrich. Their family moved to Othello, before moving to Michigan. While living in Michigan from 1965-1970 she learned how to ice skate with her siblings, it was their favorite activity. When Renae was 12 years old their family moved back to Othello, Washington. Renae was one of twelve children. Siblings she loved and laughed with her whole life. Cliff jumping at the Potholes was one of their favorite things to do growing up. Renae was a self-proclaimed tomboy. Renae was a natural beauty and participated in beauty pageants in high school. On April 21st, 1978, Renae married Steven Shoemaker and they had three children, Rachel, Stephanie, and Angela. They spent many years growing into a beautiful family. Her favorite memories were summer trips to the Oregon coast. Renae attended Columbia Basin College and graduated with her LPN license in 1996. Renae met her current husband Charlie Westerbur, and they married on December 10th, 1997, and Renae gained three bonus children, Janna, Carolyn, and Chris. After moving to
Issaquah, WA, Renae was employed as a Gastrointestinal nurse at Children's Hospital in Seattle WA, for over 10 years. She was passionate about her work and always gave 100% to every task. Renae's favorite past time was collecting crystals and various stones. In 2020, Charlie and Renae moved back to Kennewick to be closer to her kids and grandkids. Renae is always a supportive mother and would do anything for her children. She is proud to be their mother. She has a huge family who loves her very much. Renae's life is a blessing, her memory is a treasure, she is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Renae is survived by her husband Charlie, daughters Rachel, Stephanie (Tyler), Angela (Nestor), Janna (Jason), Carolyn (Lee), her son Chris, her mother, Ellen, 10 brothers and sisters, LeAndrew (Lee), Laura, Janet, Norene, Callis, Marion, Delbert, Roselee, Joanne, Wayne, her 11 beautiful grandchildren, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Ashlee, Seth, Logan, Madison, Angel, Angela, Cammi, Jack, and Vivian. She was preceded by her father, Jack, and brother Duane.
