Renato Cromaz, age 82, husband of Annette Cromaz, father of Andrea Cromaz (husband Steve Konczak) and Daniel Cromaz, son of Danilo and Maria Cromaz (both deceased), brother of JoAnn Gentile (husband Gianfranco) and Anita Lutz (husband Douglas) (both deceased.)
A US Army Veteran, Renato had a presence you couldn't ignore. He made people laugh easily and often. Whether it was around a table, out by the water, or halfway through a story about the good ol' days, he had everyone's attention, not because he asked for it, but because people genuinely wanted to be part of whatever he was saying. He had a way of making people feel welcome, like they belonged there, and even when times were hard, he found a way to laugh and pull everyone else through it with him.
He loved fishing and being near the water, early mornings, a line in, and his tackle box ready. He also enjoyed hunting and shooting sporting clays. He loved cooking just as much. He could make something out of nothing, and there was always pasta or fresh sauce simmering on the stove. His signature dishes were always a chef's kiss.
He had a love for his German Shorthaired Pointers and his cat, who were never far from his side, following him wherever he went. He also loved building with his hands, crafting homes that bore the mark of a careful, meticulous carpenter. Through it all, his humor and warmth were constant, steady companions, just like his dogs.
We will picture Renato by the water, with something good cooking on the stove, his dogs running nearby, and everyone leaning in to listen and laugh at a good joke.
