Renay Donley Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 8, 2025.
Renay Eva Donley, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Potterville, MI, on December 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 19, 1963, in Lansing, MI, Renay's vibrant spirit and joyful heart touched many throughout her 62 years of life.
Renay's early years were spent in Lansing, where she attended Eastern High School before graduating from Harry Hill, class of 1981. Renay had a deep appreciation for nature, particularly deer, which she admired for their grace and beauty. Her creative spirit found a home in scrapbooking, a hobby through which she documented cherished memories for her family to treasure.
A woman of many passions, Renay also enjoyed the thrill of going to the casino, the serenity of fishing, and the excitement of traveling to new places. Her adventures created countless stories that she would share with her dear friends, who were affectionately known as her partners in crime-Nelia, Tina, Kathie, Suzie, Sharon, Dee, Betty, and Karen. Together, they formed a circle of unwavering support and endless laughter.
Renay's legacy is carried on by her daughters, Jaime (John) Diehl, Jessee Cassel, and Jenni Moore. Her grandchildren, Abi, Taylor, Brunzwik, Alan, Cayla, Aleigha, Averie, Aiden, Adam, and C.J.-were the light of her life. Renay's siblings, Denise (Delbert) Spencer, Darcy (Laurie) Hardy-Riojas, Rhonda (Milo) Shilling, Terri Terrian, Don Gordon, Tracy Carmody, and Coby Lange, niece Christine (Robert) Dutcher, along with several other nieces and nephews, will remember her for her warmth, generosity.
Renay now joins her beloved grandmother Rosella (Lloyd) Scott, and her siblings Carl Gordon, Robert Gordon, Linda Houset, Dixie Barner, and Rosella Gay Meier in eternal rest.
