Rene is survived by his loving wife of 43 years; Azalia G. Hernandez, sons; Ricky Garcia, Diego Ramon Garcia-Hernandez, grandchildren; Britney Garcia Cantu and husband, Sean, Damien Ramon Hernandez, Diego Ramon Hernandez Jr., Marky Gonzales, sisters; Clara Zambrano and husband, Alonzo, Diana Carpenter and husband, Rolando, Hugo Hernandez, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The Hernandez family will honor their loved one on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, where a funeral mass will begin at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Carrizo Springs. Following the mass, cremation and interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
Serving as pallbearers Ricky Garcia, Diego Ramon Garcia Hernandez, Damien Ramon, Diego Ramon Jr., Ramon Garcia, Rene Garcia, Sean Cantu, and Danny Ruiz.
