I first met Rene in the Spring of 2003 when I pledged the successor fraternity to his as a Kappa Theta Chi. He was a Delta Sig to the bone, but we were of the same fraternal heritage. He was a hurricane of good times, laughter, and jokes. The man was something else and will be sorely missed. I'll pour a cold one in his honor as I unfortunately did not know of his passing and only recently learned of it. Rest in peace brother.
Here's to brother Limon, brother Limon, brother Limon

I've known Rene since the late summer of 1976 when we both began Central Catholic High Shool as freshman. Through the years I had the privilege of getting to know his family and even some of his cousins. In recent years, I've had the privilege of getting to know some of his close friends as well. I'm certain that anyone who knew Rene Will agree that he was always the life of the party and that he always found a way to make one laugh or at least put a smile in one's face.
In this past year, however, I had The opportunity to see a side of Rene that perhaps not too many others have seen. When faced with a terminal illness and having dealt with multiple complications along the way, I must say that I never heard him complain or go through what would be considered the normal stages of grief as he faced his illness with insurmountable courage and a positive attitude all the way through.
I believe that Rene flew with a tailwind that
was the result of his faith in God, his very supportive family, and the prayers of so many friends and family who loved him dearly.
As Rene faced the toughest battle of his life he was so blessed to have the rock solid support of his family and in particular his sister Letty who stepped in at a very crucial time to make sure that Rene received the love, care, and support that he so very much needed.
I believe that Rene has joined his beloved mother in heaven, and that he no longer suffers and is now making everyone laugh up there as he did here on earth.
Until we meet again, my Central Catholic Brother !
