Renee' M. Bennett, 61, of Aurelia, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at her home in Aurelia, Iowa.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa located at 207 E. Main Street. Pastor Kevin Roop will officiate. Visitation with the family present will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Renee' was born on December 18, 1964 to James and Joyce (Obitz) McFarlane in Cherokee, Iowa. She graduated from Washington High School in 1983. She was united in marriage on October 28, 1983 in Cherokee, Iowa to Daniel David Bennett. She attended Western Iowa Tech Community College, earning her Registered Nurse degree in 1990.

She worked as a nurse at Careage Hills Nursing Home, Happy Siesta Nursing Home, and Heartland Care Center, retiring in 2022.

In her free time she enjoyed camping and spending time with her family especially her grandkids. She loved German Sheperd dogs and teddy bears.

She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Mary Bennett, sister-in-law Lisa Fiedler, and brother-in-law Paul Gustafson.

Renee' will be lovingly remembered by her husband Daniel Bennett of Aurelia, Iowa; children Johnathan David (Katina) Bennett of Aurelia, Iowa and Sarah Marie (Alan Phipps) Bennett of Galva, Iowa; seven grandchildren Mazy (Nyden) Thompson, Savannah Johnson, Ava Bennett, Audrina Bennett, Jaxson Bennett, Zadrian Solomon and Zaylias Solomon; 1 great grandchild Kylan Thompson; sisters Teresa (Randy) Kauffman of Marcus, Iowa and Veronica (Jim) Mongan of Cherokee, Iowa; sisters-in-law Julie Gustafson of Remsen, Iowa, Diane (Robert) Sleezer of Aurelia, Iowa; brother-in-law Jeff Fiedler of Cherokee, Iowa; also many nieces and nephews.
