The world will be a little less tender-hearted and gracious with the passing of Renee Johnson 58 on February 20, 2026, following a lengthy battle with cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of personal integrity, quiet strength and devotion to Jesus.
Renee was born May 16, 1967, to Mike and Stephne Bishop. She graduated from South High and later completed dental assistant training at San Joaquin Valley College.
Renee is survived by her parents Mike and Stephne Bishop, brother Stewart Bishop, her partner Brian Johnson, four precious children, Chelsey Farrell, Darby Mejia, Dev Mejia, Aubrei Johnson and grandsons Gabriel Kai and Silas.
Celebration of Life services will be held at New Life Church, 4201 Stine Road, Bakersfield, Calif. at 12PM on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

Brian and family i am so sorry for your profound loss. Renee is a Beautiful soul and I am so, so blessed that are paths crossed through League of Dreams and our shared breast cancer journey. She will be always, Loved, missed, and forever remembered. Fly High my Dear friend. You are no longer in pain.

Renee was one of the sweetest people we ever had the pleasure of knowing. She always had the biggest smile. She was always a joy to be around. The world will definitely be a little darker without her light. Rest in paradise Renee. We have the best memories whenever we think of you.
