Renee Gage Obituary
Renee Lynn Osgood Gage, born on October 4, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, in Hope Mills, North Carolina, at the age of 67.
Renee was a dedicated and hardworking individual, having spent her career in data entry with the Leo J. Shapiro Survey Company. Her meticulous nature and attention to detail were evident in her work and personal life.
Photography was one of Renee's passions, capturing the beauty of the world through her lens as well as taking pictures of her family. She appreciated the serene artistry of Thomas Kinkade and found joy and excitement in TV game shows, particularly "Wheel of Fortune." An avid reader, she cherished the quiet moments with a good book. Renee had a special fondness for teddy bears, which she collected over the years with great affection.
Renee was preceded in death by her father, Merlin Dale Osgood. She is survived by her loving mother, Danute Osgood Vitagliano; her devoted daughter, Nikki Osgood Spencer and husband David; her brother, Merlin Osgood, Jr.; and her sister, Vikki Ruffolo. Renee was a beloved grandmother to Jordan Osgood, Taylor Wiltsie (DeQuan), and JaNyah Haight (Aaron), and a proud great-grandmother to Kamryn Wiltsie, Kali Wiltsie, and Emmy Haight. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Ashley Moses (Chad), Merlin Osgood, III (Brittany), Ryan Ruffolo, Sawyer Duquesnel (Peter), and Megan Frederick (Hayden) as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Renee shared her love and home with her two cherished dogs, Forrest and Gump, who brought her great companionship and joy.
No services have been scheduled at this time. The family invites those who knew Renee to honor her in their own personal and meaningful ways. Memorial donations may be made to the New Hanover Humane Society, reflecting Renee's love for animals and her giving spirit.
Renee Lynn Gage will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
