Renee Cecil Gordon, 65, of Sioux City, passed away on September 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 27, 1960, and graduated from North High School in 1978.

Renee spent her younger years playing soccer at the Floyd soccer fields. She worked at Pepsi, then Gateway 2000 for more than 20 years before retiring from Tool Depot in 2024.

She was active in the Leeds Community Club and enjoyed selling items on eBay, rummaging, antiquing, and gardening. She also loved meeting her brother and sister for coffee. Most of all, Renee cherished watching her granddaughter Chloe’s sporting events and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her fiancé Craig Franzen; daughter Christina (Chad) Patrick; son Chad (Tori) Young; five grandchildren: Jayda and Cayson Patrick, Chloe and Milo Young, and Emmett McAdoo; a great-grandson Cole Patrick; sister Rhonda (Joe) Sessoms; brother Ron “Corky” Gordon; nieces and nephews Liz (Jon) Deck, Kate Gordon, Ryan (Traci) Weber, and Nathan (Sara) Sessoms; as well as her great-nieces and great-nephews.

Renee was preceded in death by her parents, Ron and Barb Gordon, her grandparents, and her longtime best friend, Char Essig.
