Renee Louise Otterbein joined the world on July 17,1961. In Cedar Falls, Iowa. The 2nd of 3 children born to Ronald and Ruth Otterbein.
Shortly after, the family moved to Southern California, first in Los Angeles County and then farther South in Orange County.
She attended Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Inglewood, CA for K-8. Moving on to High School in Lennox and then transferred to San Clemente.
Renee worked a variety of jobs Two she seemed to mention more than the others were working in the stockbroker’s office and bookkeeping in the equine industry. She always loved horses.
Renee started a family and moved to Michigan when her daughter, Kelly started her own family. There she helped raise her grandchildren.
In 2016 she adopted her granddaughter and the two of them made the move to Kansas in 2019.
Renee was a nurturer. She took care of everyone. It started a very young age. She brought home animals and then people.
She loved to cook. She fed her family, friends and neighbors!
Renee was preceded in death by her father Ronald Otterbein and her daughter Kelly Keuick.
She is survived by her mother Ruth Otterbein, Sister Rhonda (Otterbein)Lunga and Brother Richard Otterbein. Grandsons Anthony Herrera and Royce Herrera. Daughter Leianna Otterbein. Great Grandchildren Mari and Miles Herera, Kaliza and Kash Herrera.
