Renee Marie Weyek

Renee Weyek, age 69, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025. Born in Minneapolis, Renee was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother who touched the lives of many with her strength, warmth, and love.Renee is preceded in death by her parents, George and Donna Weyek, and her sister/brother in law Colleen (Curt) Johnson. She is survived by her son Chris (Erica) Parrish; her grandson, Caiden Parrish; step son Aaron (Lisa) Parrish; her sisters Debbie (Kent) Gallipo, Bonnie Weyek, and Lynne (Dave) Wierzba; her brother Scott (Gretchen) Weyek; many nieces and nephews.Renee spent over 30 years as a bus driver for First Student. She took a lot of pride in her job and created many memories and connections throughout her career. One of her favorite past times was collecting antiques by attending garage sales and estate sales. She enjoyed the treasure hunt as much as the items themselves. She spent a lot of time catching up with family and friends on the phone and generally had a fun nickname for everyone she was close to. Renee was an animal lover through and through. She had two cats(Max and Mindy) and a cockatoo (Gerty) that she cherished and loved throughout her life.A Celebration of Life will be held in Renee's honor on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Coon Rapids Civic Center, Room B, in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Family and friends are invited to join in sharing memories and celebrating the beautiful life she lived.
